Goddess | Primordial , 2026

In Goddess, the canvas becomes a meditation on feminine power as a force of creation, transformation, and remembrance. It imagines the divine feminine not as something distant or idealized, but as an ancient presence that rises from the earth itself. She embodies the power to nurture life and the power to destroy it, existing beyond shame, apology, or the expectations imposed upon women. Her strength is neither granted nor earned. It simply exists.
The work reflects on forms of feminine knowledge that have been forgotten, suppressed, or displaced across generations. Inspired by pre-colonial histories of the Philippines, where women often held spiritual and communal authority, the painting becomes an act of remembering as much as imagining. It considers what is lost when these stories disappear from collective memory, and what can be reclaimed when we begin to seek them again.
Goddess invites viewers to reflect on power not as dominance, but as an innate force rooted in creation.
