In Jealousy, the canvas explores the emotions that are never spoken aloud, yet shape the way we relate to one another. Inspired by relationships in which affection and rivalry quietly coexist, the work reflects the subtle tensions hidden beneath celebration, comfort, and love. Smiles remain sincere, but unspoken comparisons linger in the shadows, revealing feelings that have no acceptable place to exist. The piece speaks to growing up where difficult emotions were rarely acknowledged directly, finding expression instead through silence, passive remarks, or words disguised as jokes. It invites the viewer to look beyond what is shown openly and consider the layered truths that often accompany even our closest relationships.
