Self Doubt | The Weight we Carry, 2026
Original art piece 75x55cm, acrylics on canvas
Part of the art series The Weight we Carry which dips deeper into the emotions and memories that accompany us for a long time
In Self Doubt, the canvas becomes a reflection of the quiet unraveling that begins when we no longer trust ourselves. It explores the disorienting experience of questioning every choice and every instinct until even the simplest decisions feel impossibly distant. Painted with deliberate minimalism, the work mirrors the stark emptiness that emerges when intuition falls silent, when clarity is replaced by hesitation, and certainty dissolves into endless second-guessing. It asks a deeply human question: where does our instinctive knowing go when we stop believing in it? The piece invites the viewer to sit with that fragile space between reason and intuition, where self-trust has been lost, yet the longing to reconnect with one's inner voice quietly remains.
